Labor One Staffing is NOW HIRING CABLE PULLERS Description: The ability to perform cable installation, equipment and cable removal, paint removal, lagging removal as needed • Support the work of electricians • Run cable through ductwork or behind walls • Install the panel boxes and junction boxes where electricians make their connections, and they run cable through rigid conduit piping and on transmission towers • Use hand and power tools as needed • Light industrial cleaning, carrying industrial debris and / or materials, grinding, cutting or drilling • Preparing and restoring ship repair sites, maintaining the smooth flow of machinery, handling most of the hand tools, restoring/cleaning used tools, determining defects on sites • Performs basic and physical tasks such as transporting, loading/unloading material, tools and equipment on and off trucks and ships • Duties will include but are not limited to; equipment and cable removal, equipment and cable installation, paint removal, lagging removal • Install cables in shipboard cableways using approved methods • Perform installation tasks such as; cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and making/repairing connectors • Possess a demonstrated ability and knowledge of the principles of electricity, electronics, shipboard and/or shore installations • Removes and installs the following: Power, signal, and RF cabling. Equipment, equipment racks, lockers, and mounting hardware. Connection boxes, switches, and indicator lights. Antenna platforms, antenna mounting rings and adapters, antennas and radomes. Foundations, decking, computer decking, and support structure; and Power panels, enclosures, and connection boxes • Primarily running cable through ductwork or behind walls Additional Skills & Qualifications: * Must be DBIDS eligible and able to get access to NBSD. • 1-2 years of electrical experience within the ship repair or shipbuilding industry • Proficient with cable install in shipboard cableways
