I'm a vocalist/rhythm guitarist, and a recent transplant to the area. I have a wealth of experience playing clubs in different parts of the country and recording albums (remember those?) as a bandleader, and I'm looking to put together something local now that I don't have to sing through a mask. While my background is in Blues and Blues/Rock, the idea here is something in the John Hiatt/Townes Van Zant/Bonnie Raitt/The Band kind of vein, starting with covers of rock songs you wouldn't expect to get this kind of reimagining. Rubbing Aladdin's lamp, I'd ask the genie for the following: lead guitar, keys, mandolin, fiddle (a multi-instrumentalist would be ideal), bass, drums, with at least some players who can add some vocal harmonies. I'm middle-aged, gainfully employed, and my last remaining addiction is to my coffee in the morning. You do you, be youngish or oldish, male or female, I just want to work with people who show up on time, can contribute to the creative process, share expenses along with pay, work/play well with others, and leave all politics at the door. Oh, and if you have some club connections, you move to the head of the class since I'm new to these parts. I know, I know, this is a big ask, maybe not even realistic. I'm in no rush, though, so if this does do something for you, shoot me over some samples of past work (tracks, video, whatevs). I'll send you a link to some of mine, and we can go from there!
