I am seeking a sewer/seamstress who can work from your own home, or in our Alterations shop from time-to-time. I am also seeking a press operator (ironing) to work at our dry cleaning plant. Wage can be hourly based on experience and speed in pressing garments. Hours would be in the morning. For sewing position: If you want to work at home, you MUST be nearby and have the applicable sewing machines for the job. Prefer someone with alterations experience. Dressmaking, bespoke clothing, fashion design a big plus. You must have experience with collar, cuffs, hems, tapers, etc. I will need to see samples of your work. We have 3 fully operating sewing machines, and if hourly, you will have to work at our shop in an assistant capacity. No outside contracting, this is a contract between me and the person sewing. You can work hourly under direct supervision, or in contract capacity and you will be responsible for your own taxes. I need someone who can alter shirts, pants, dresses, coats, jackets, all kinds of clothing. You could earn approximately $300-$600 week because I pay a set price per job on each garment.
