Our Truck Rental Yard is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator/Mechanic’s Helper/Yard Man. Successful candidates will be responsible for moving and shuttling trucks and equipment daily as well as warehouse forklift work. Looking for people that take pride in their work and can perform various duties as required throughout the day. Working in a warehouse environment with forklifts and mechanic personnel a plus. Responsibilities: • Must be able to safely operate forklifts and move pallets of truck parts adequately • Responsible for operating forklift/yard crane and dealing with moving or positioning trucks to assist mechanics for new arrivals in their service bay. • Be able to multi-task and switch jobs when requested or assigned by supervisor and must be able to arrive on time each day, allowing for freeway traffic and weather conditions. Skills: • Good working mechanical knowledge and communication skills-Bilingual Spanish is a plus • Practical experience as a forklift/yard crane operator such as Home Depot or Costco • Be a self-starter and continued excellent attendance record a must. • Light experience with small tools a plus(such as removing license plates and installing windshield wipers) • Good driving record is a must • Successful candidate will be properly trained by highly skilled personnel to efficiently handle forklift/crane yard assignments.
