We here at Miller Fence are looking to hire enthusiastic people looking to learn a new trade. We hire for attitude and train for skill. If you have experience as a carpenter, framer, roofer, gutter installer, landscaper, hardscape, window/door installer, flooring installer, irrigation, mason, or any other hands on trade, we would like the opportunity to meet you. We are searching for people who already know how to use basic hand tools, can read a tape measure, and know how to make a post plumb and a line level. Miller Fence is the leading fence installer in central MA. We have been in business for 54 years and are currently in the midst of expansion. We offer all the benefits that come with working for a large and established company, while maintaining the small business culture. Our employees work a set M-F 7a-5p schedule. We also offer work on Saturdays from 8a-1p but not required. Typical Day: Arrive to the shop @ 7am and punch in to the time clock Go over the days install with Foreman and Operations Manager Ensure that the work truck is loaded with the days materials and properly strapped down. Arrive at job site (typically within Worcester County) and start unloading material while Foreman does the walkaround and layout with the customer. Install all types of fence for both commercial and residential jobs. Including but not limited to wood, vinyl, chainlink, aluminum, iron, and cantilever gates. Dig holes, mix concrete, use saws, grinders, drills, impacts, core drills, roto zip, etc to accomplish install requirements Arrive back to the shop by 4:30p, unload the truck, sweep the bed, and load for the next day.
