Description
I am not looking for a particular breed I am looking for a particular dog. And I am asking your help in finding it.
I am going to try this, I don't know how it will work, so here goes. I am looking for a puppy, no, make that a very special puppy.
I am looking for a calm, smart, observant, unafraid of noises, eager to please puppy (up to 4 mos, not much older) and a black roof of the mouth (bunch of old farmers told me that one). Hey, if your going to ask, ask big. It will be given a very special life, a life of unimaginable love, respect and attention, and I'm not talking about from me (though that would go without saying),
I am looking for that special animal that will be a "Therapy Dog" and spend it's days visiting nursing homes and also be my "Service Dog".
It has been my blessing for the last 18 years to have served nursing homes in my community with my dogs. My sweet dog left last month and I am a bit off balance.
I am not a man of means, so no expensive dogs. I'm just looking for a healthy dog, not a breed with well known medical issues. I just got out of an 6 year relationship with weekly epileptic seizures and double hip dysplasia. I like my vet, good man, but I don't want to see him at the office more than once a year. ha ha
If you find my dog, please send me a picture of it. (no all black dogs or pitties, some residents are afraid) a good character face. Would need to be a sturdy 1.5' tall minimum at the back when grown, this way the dog can be petted from wheelchairs vigorously, and residents won't fall out of their chairs trying to pet her, but not so big it can't move in my 1000sqft house. I am retired and I do have a enclosed side porch with dog bed and fenced yard.
Thank you for helping me find my dog.
