Forming band playing covers of the lesser known songs of better known alt-country and roots rock artists. Not note-for-note, but not necessarily drastic re-arrangements, either. I’ve tried the cutesy approach with witty text and such, but, after a number of disappointments, I’m just coming straight out and saying it. We need a guitar player (lead and rhythm) who can also sing lead and harmony, but without the attendant ego that’s usually a byproduct of being able to do those things. Someone who’s mature, experienced and not a flight risk to the next band that winks at him/her. Enthusiasm, knowledge (and understanding) for the music style is a definite plus - maybe a must. Multi-instrumental skills are also a plus, but being able to play AND sing in this style is the most important part.
