BMW Steering Column Lock Repair

Hi- have a 2007 BMW 328i that I need to have worked on. A few months ago the battery died and the car was left dead in the driveway for too long. When a new batter was installed, the car wouldn't start and steering wheel lock warning light was on. I've read the forums and found a bypass module and installed it, which was able to get the car started. However, the steering wheel is still locked. So, right now the car can only move straight back or straight forward lol. I've read where the column can be removed, cleaned and reinstalled, but that is way out of my weekend warrior league. I thought I'd give this a shot in case there are any BWM mechanics looking for a little side work. I pay cash. Let me know what you would charge and your availability. Thank you!
