Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Assembly Technician is responsible for manual assembly of cooling systems. Includes components of air conditioners, heat exchangers, fan packages, etc. In addition, equipment operation and maintenance, quality data management, and continuous job improvements are required while completing tasks within standard times with minimal supervision. All while working in a climate-controlled facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Carry out product assembly
Follow logical or systematic instructions including drawings and written instructions
Install controller, condenser, power source, fan, filters, etc. into specified enclosure
Perform visual and physical inspections during assembly to comply to company standards
Document task verification throughout assembly
Open communication of any issues and concerns with Supervisor and Quality Assurance Mgr.
Solve problems with machinery or equipment
Complete tasks within standard times with minimum supervision
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of experience in a high-capacity manufacturing environment
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
Working knowledge of HVAC systems
Universal EPA certification required
Basic electrical wiring skills
Good attendance, initiative
Able to follow both written and verbal instructions
Demonstrated ability to use small hand and power tools
Must be able to lift 45 lbs. minimum
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing warehouse environment
Standing, bending, squatting, lifting, stretching
Use of tools, machinery, loud noises and equipment
