My son got a beagle puppy for his father (the AKC papers are in his name). I agreed, thinking they would both care for and train her. 100% of the responsibility has fallen onto me, and I am physically incapable of this task.

You will be meeting with my husband, as she is his dog. He is leaving me in charge of her rehoming, just as he has every other responsibility that he asked for.
