Matsu Valley Rebuild, a non-profit used building materials store in Wasilla collects used and new building materials through donations from area residents and businesses. We then sell them at 30%-60% of retail price to the public. We are looking for someone who is passionate about keeping useful items and materials out of the landfill to volunteer at the store. The work involves cleaning, organizing, putting things away and more. It can get dirty and there will be some heavy lifting but nothing too drastic. It could be a few hours a week, one day or more. We would like someone who can come regularly as an increased understanding of the operation will be helpful. You will not be left on your own. It's a pretty fun environment, it can be real busy then real slow. Patience and a sense of humor are very helpful. If you are interested and have questions please email.
