Quarry Laborer / Equipment Operator

Highway Materials, Inc. is a producer of Construction Aggregates and Hot Mix Asphalt products in Eastern Pennsylvania, with seven locations to serve our customers. Currently we are looking for a Quarry Laborer/Equipment Operator to join our team at Perkiomenville Quarry. Responsibilities include: • Perform a wide range of general labor duties at a quarry. Including but not limited to: shoveling, raking, moving materials, cleaning and maintaining quarry while adhering to all safety regulations. • Assist in plant maintenance: Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings or fences, using hand or power tools • Operate heavy equipment and/or plant equipment from start up to shut down in a safe and productive manner- adjusting workflow as needed • Light to heavy mechanical maintenance to ensure constant production • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and responsible manner • Upkeep of plant and heavy equipment (broom & shovel work) Requirements include: • Ability to perform manual labor and a variety of tasks throughout the day • Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment, will train qualified candidates • Basic Math skills and mechanical aptitude • Knowledge of OSHA regulations • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. • Valid/Clean Driver’s License • High School Diploma (or GED) If interested, please respond to this ad with your resume and salary requirements.
