Wishful thinking? Most likely, but here goes: You had on a plaid shirt and pale blue jeans, glasses with a keyhole bridge and brass tips to the earpieces. We made eye contact several times on the platform at 8th St; I was sure you were going to walk farther up the platform but we got into the same car. As we faced each other, our eyes met several times. Was it because there aren't that many places to look in a subway car? Was that an intentional raised eyebrow on your part? Or did I accidentally fake you into thinking you had something on your face? After 23rd, you came over. Sure, a more sober fellow would say it was because your stop was coming up. Then again, crossing a subway car doesn't take a lot of time. If all the eye contact was accidental, you made my subway ride more pleasant than normal. If it wasn't, perhaps you'd like to grab a coffee sometime.
