Citron Tree and fruit

I have a Citron tree and it looks like it will have a lot of fruit this year, I don't know much about this fruit, I was sent this tree by mistake, I was wondering if any one knows anything about this tree and fruit, I have read a little about it but would like to learn more,and maybe share the fruit when it is ready. So if any one knows anything about this fruit please tell me what you know and what the fruit is good for? I would appreciate any help or feed back Thank you
