EPC has an opportunity at the Kansas City, MO facility for a Shipping Clerk: Role Description: •Building boxes and creating returned packaging as part of the company’s box program •Maintain company standards when sending packages to customers •Create and ensure all packages received the proper labeling, postal charges, and are packaged to arrive at the proper location •Must maintain quality of work while meeting minimum quota numbers Requirements: Education •High school diploma or equivalent Experience •Must have previous experience working in fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Personal Skills •Must be able to multitask and have good decision-making skills •Ability to work with minimal supervision •Must have excellent computer skills •Ability to perform user friendly computer tasks such as print, type, and date input •Must be able to use common sense when performing job tasks •Must be able to meet or exceed production goals, follow procedures, and adhere to quality requirements •Must be able to work well with others and perform in a teamwork environment Physical •Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation •Must be able to work 8 hours shifts while performing the duties of this job •Must be able to regularly bend, twist, and reach •Use a pallet jack to move equipment from dock to work station •Must be able to handle computer equipment by reading and identifying serial printed letters, numbers, symbols, and model information with a small font size Working Conditions •Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise levels •Should be open to extra hours, such as weekly overtime, in a fast-paced environment •Help maintain a clean and organized work space •Prior shipping, warehouse, or relevant experience is preferred but not required.
