Job Responsibilities: · Repair irrigation leaks including drip tube, valves, lateral lines, mainline, and drains. · Repair/Replace irrigation valves. · Install and adjust irrigation timers. · Conducts regular system inspections and perform routine troubleshooting or irrigation systems. · Use hand tools such as shovel, pickaxe, rakes, pipe cutters. · Remove and replace plant material including ground cover, plants, shrubs and trees as needed to repair irrigation problems. · Communicate effectively with American Landscape Superintendent and customers as needed. · Ensure work vehicle has proper tools and materials necessary to execute all work projects. Qualifications: · Knowledge of irrigation systems including valves, sprinkler heads, drip systems, backflows,and master valves. · Knowledge of various irrigation timers. · Efficient at reading and understanding blueprints and color coded irrigation charts. · Ability to repair valves, lateral lines, drip tube, and main line. · Ability to remove and plant multiple varieties of ground cover, shrubs, plants, and trees. · Ability to effectively communicate present information and respond to questions, both verbal and written. · Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal supervision. · Ability to work independently. · Ability to exercise good judgment with a strong attention to detail · Must be a licensed driver in the state of California with a clean driving record. All drivers must be approved by our insurance carrier. · Bilingual speech is highly encouraged. Physical Demands: · Stand and walk for extended periods of time. · Ability to frequently move supplies of up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift weight consisting of 75pounds. Work Environment: · Working outdoors in various weather conditions. · Interaction with staff and customers.
