Independent Tree Service Inc is a family-owned, established, and respected business proudly serving the greater Tampa Bay area for over 43 years. With four full-time certified arborists on staff, we run 4-5 crews daily and are looking to expand to full capacity of 6 crews. We are currently hiring skilled, professional, and enthusiastic people to help us grow. Our fleet comprises: three all-terrain man lifts, three bucket trucks, a brand new F550 chip truck, two grapple trucks, and 4 articulating wheel loaders. Our specialized equipment allows us to be highly efficient with respect to labor and delivers a superior finished product while preserving the clients property and turf. Job Description - Groundman Will be responsible for assisting our trimmers with the pruning and removal of local trees while maintaining ground safety and cleanup. Will work with equipment such as wood chippers, rigging and roping devices, and chainsaws. Will maintain our standard of excellence by providing our customer's yards with the attention to detail Independent Tree Service is known for. Required Experience and Skills This is intended as an entry-level to mid-level position within the company. As such, we are willing to train inexperienced individuals to become a strong part of our team so long as they possess the following skills. Enthusiasm Energy Attention to detail Ability to work smart and safely Willingness to learn and grow in your trade Must possess valid driver's license Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening Preferred Experience and Skills Experience with chainsaws, wood chippers, and various arboricultural equipment Knowledge and experience with aerial lifts, grapple loaders, and other machinery common to the business CDL drivers with a Class B license or higher are a big plus!
