Over 50 bassist seeking an ORIGINAL MUSIC PROJECT (this means NO COVER SONGS and NO TRIBUTE BANDS). I play 4 and 5 string bass. Reliable transportation - I show up on time ready to go to work, and I truly appreciate working with people who love the creative process like I do. I'm only interested in writing/recording/performing original music that we'll write together. My ego stays outside the studio, I'm very easy to work with and I'm a total team player. With me, it's all about THE MUSIC. Pro gear, attitude and experience, WITHOUT the usual difficulty or other associated EGO/BS some people have. Associated with BMI (will sign up with ASCAP if everyone else is with them), and I have well over 40 tunes written that come with me. Some are co-writes, others all my own, all are copyrighted and under my publishing. I'm married, but free to travel when the time comes. Non-smoker, no drugs or alcohol issues, and I'm hoping to find a band of serious musicians with similar experience, live and in-studio, as well as being solid singers/songwriters/musicians who are not ready to hang it all up just yet. My main influences are: Beatles, Who, Zep, Motown, Grand Funk, MC5, Cactus/Vanilla Fudge, Foo Fighters, Petty, Moody Blues, Mooney Suzuki, Purple, Traffic/Steve Winwood, Alice Cooper, Frost, and tons more besides them. Bass influences are; Paul McCartney, John Entwistle, John Paul Jones, James Jamerson, Mel Schacher, Tim Bogert, Roger Glover, etc., etc. Guys who ROCK. I grew up in the Houston music scene, just about anywhere music was being played. I'm a straight ear musician who can literally hear a tune once, and am able to play it right then. Send me a note.
