Our client near Poughkeepsie is seeking a Lumberyard Laborer. You will assist the Foreman with setting up and cleaning up work sites. This is temp to hire opportunity. Like most construction companies, hours worked daily can vary based on projects, weather conditions, & other job related schedules, but normal hours will be 7am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday and offers a pay rate of $16 per hour. Job duties include: • Support the foreman with day-to-day operational duties • Build loads to be delivered • Work in the lumberyard • Other duties as assigned Lumberyard Laborer Requirements: • Previous experience working as a laborer in a construction environment is a plus, but our client is willing to train those that are motivated to learn more in the industry • Must be able to stand, squat or bend for long periods of time • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds • Experience operating a forklift - if you don't have experience, the client will provide training Please apply for consideration as the client is looking for someone to start right away.
