Position Overview: The Porter is responsible for keeping the property clean, maintenance and making sure the property is in good standing. The primary goal of this position is to provide attention to the appearance of all common areas for a safe and adequate living environment. Requirements: - Must be fluent in English - Must have good communication skills and be punctual. -** Experience sweeping, mopping, washing and waxing, buffing, stripping hallways, floors and stairs ** - Experience vacuuming and using floor polishers. - Knowledge in janitorial duties and minor repairs. - Experience in emptying compactors and trashcans. - Experience in clearing snow and ice from sidewalks and driveways *as needed* - Keeping good relations with tenants and staff - Must be extremely detail oriented. - Self-motivated and proactive. - Handyman experience is a plus - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. - Will work directly with full time super
