Description
This is Miles, a 2-3 year old shepherd mix. He was pulled by animal control from a hoarder’s back yard where he lived on a chain. When he came into rescue with us, he was thin and his skin was in bad shape due to the vast ynumber of fleas and ants crawling on him. Despite that, he bounced into his foster home like he’d never lived anywhere else! We don’t have much history on Miles, but we do know that he does extremely well with other dogs (even ones who don’t particularly like other dogs themselves), and he doesn’t bother cats at all. He is great in the house and doesn’t have accidents nor chew anything up. He does need work walking nicely on a leash, but he is highly trainable and food motivated. He’s already learned a lot about house rules and how to be mannerly indoors. He loves to snuggle, and is very affectionate without being clingy. Overall he’s a real gentleman! Health-wise, Miles has recovered beautifully and what looks like a gorgeous coat is growing back in. He has been vaccinated and he tested negative for heartworms. He’s on preventative for both fleas and heartworms now. If you are interested in Miles, his adoption fee is $75 to ensure that he goes to a good home. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about him, so please feel free to call or text me. If you think Miles may be a good fit for your family, please send me an email with the questions/your answers that I have posted below. These questions are simply to ensure Miles finds the best possible home and not back into the situation we rescued him from. If you reply to this email without answering the questions, I will not respond. If this post is still active, the critter is still looking for a home. These questions are intended to ensure every rescue finds the PERFECT home. If the animal you are interested in adopting is not a good fit for your home, we can add you to our list for future babies that could be a better fit for you. 1. Do you currently have any pets or have you had any in the past? 2. Will your pet be inside, outside, or both? 3. Are you willing and able to provide personal and vet references? 4. Do you have any children in your home? If yes, what are their ages? Have they been around animals before? 5. What kind of lifestyle do you live? (Ex. Active/Travel a lot/Work from home/etc..) 6. Do you rent? If yes, do you have permission from your landlord to adopt? 7. Will this pet be for you or a gift to someone else?
