JOB SUMMARY: Movers are responsible in relocating and setting up furniture, conference rooms, events, and assembling office equipment throughout the site to various buildings. The mover disassembles, assembles, installs, service, configures and programs complex furniture and fixture systems involving multiple special devices. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Typical duties include but are not limited to: • Moves office, conference room, event or classroom furniture such as desks, chairs, cabinets, easels bookcases, etc. within rooms and/or across site and between buildings. • Assemble and dis-assemble modular furniture systems as directed • Pull product for build outs • Complete paperwork, including billing, work tasks & daily inventories • Relocate furniture and equipment using dollies and other forms of transport • Load and unload furniture/ equipment using a tailgate or manual lifting • Train employees on safety, moving techniques, and other policies and procedures • Pick up trash and may perform light cleaning duties of the rooms, offices or conference areas. • Perform other related duties as required or deemed necessary to meet the needs of the client. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Good mechanical and assembly skills • Excellent client/customer service skills • Ability to prioritize and multiple task • Ability to work effectively and efficient with a team • Ability to work independently QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or GED • Lifting Heavy Furniture 50lbs+ • Valid Driver's License is a must • Must have reliable transportation to and from work location DESIRED ABILITES: • Safe work practices for all aspects of the job • Six months or more related experience. • Drive up to a 20' box truck • Bi-Lingual • Leadership experience WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to work varied weather condition. Some shift and weekends work may be required if called upon PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires repetitive standing, walking, lifting of heavy objects, bending and squatting as part of the essential duties of the job.
