Layfield is looking for a dynamic Material Handler who will be responsible for supporting and assisting scheduled projects by assisting in inventory control, warehouse upkeep-including deliveries of tools and equipment needed for personnel, loading and unloading trucks, assisting with production of geosynthetic fabrication, and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. This position will report to the USA Region Supply Chain Manager. The position will be based out of our Kent, Washington facility. Key Responsibilities: Primary: - Input of order information in company software - Manages and organizes tools and material for daily use on warehouse floor. - Assist in daily production of fabricated geosynthetic products - Input of order information in company software - Responsible for proper issue of material and assisting in warehouse cleanliness - Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications - Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes Required Skills & Knowledge: - Clean Driving Record - Background in Manufacturing/Construction Environment preferred - Ability to remain objective, professional, and effective under pressure - Analytical analysis of shipping and vendor documents - Basic math skills - Comfort with transportation software and mobile transportation devices Education & Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent. - 1 - 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment - Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular basis - Familiarity with construction products and the proper loading of custom products
