GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SITE SUPERVISOR Peninsula Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to work with our crews on Naval Base Kitsap. Grounds Maintenance Site Supervisor Where: Naval Base Kitsap, all locations Type: Full Time Hourly, Permanent Position Wage: $26.48 plus health and welfare benefits Benefits: Paid sick leave, vacation and 401(k) Work Schedule: Day Shift, 7:30-3:30 Monday-Friday Closing Date: AUGUST 6TH, 2021 GENERAL SUMMARY Assists Project Manager in ensuring that Grounds Crew members perform a variety of tasks necessary to meet the grounds maintenance contract of industrial, commercial, or public property, as outlined in the contract requirements. REPORTS TO: Grounds Maintenance Project Manager Basic Requirements: • The Site Supervisor will assist the Project Manager in ensuring that Grounds Crew members perform the variety of tasks necessary to meet the grounds maintenance contracts of industrial, commercial, or public property. • Instruct crew members on the proper use of tractors equipped with a variety of grounds-keeping attachments. • Train crew members on all equipment. • Use MS Project or Excel to develop/implement yearly schedule according to contract requirements. • Responsible for inventory, production/productivity standards, computer generated payroll information and other computer reports as required, including incident or accident reports, detailing worker behavioral problems, and daily reports to provide concerns with company vehicles or the site, quality control and safety. • Must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain pest control (herbicide license), and all other licensing as required and attend training programs as requested/required. • Monitor the activities of, and provide direction to, all workers engaged in multiple tasks to ensure the completion of the task according to the constraints of the contract. Qualifications: • Must have previous supervisory experience. • Valid WA Driver’s license required and must be eligible for company insurance coverage. • Must have irrigation system experience. • Knowledge of Source America requirements for productivity timings is desirable. • Knowledge of timekeeping and payroll desirable. • Experience working with people with disabilities is preferable. • There are essential physical requirements and environmental conditions the applicant should be aware of, listed in the position description.
