SwiftCarb, a world class industrial cutting tool manufacturer is seeking TWO shop assistants, one for day and one for swing shift for our south Kent location. Someone who does well in this position could move on to other opportunities in our shop. You'll begin doing basic shop tasks, learning our processes, filling lubricant containers and other similar tasks. We strive to promote from within and once you prove your ability to work efficiently and handle assigned tasks you'll be given an opportunity to learn more technical skills.
** SHOP EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED. ** If you have a general knowledge of tools and like to work on your car or other mechanical projects, this could be a very good match for you. Your willingness to work well and follow instructions could lead to a machinist career with our company. You'll need to be reliable, punctual, energetic, responsible, take on new tasks and strive to become part of the team.
These are full time positions, day shift is Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM and the swing shift is four - ten hour shifts Monday through Thursday from 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM. Initial salary is $15 - $17 per hour, benefits include 100% company paid health insurance after 90 days, performance based bonus is also available. There is substantial room for personal advancement for those willing to prove themselves.
