WANTED; Small Breed Dog

Hello Flagstaff and surrounding area, I have been looking for a small breed dog to join me in my apartment. I have been keeping tabs on the local animal shelters in search of a small breed but they only have large breed puppies and dogs. I am not looking for any fancy breed, just something that will stay small (under 10-20 pounds) and does not have too much fur. I was interested in a Maltese, Chihuahua or Shih Tzu. I am willing to pay an adoption fee not a sell price, willing to negotiate depending on breed. I am looking for an adult dog or perhaps a puppy that is already potty trained. I do not have the patience for potty training, especially because I have carpet. I lead an active lifestyle (biking, hiking, walking and fishing) it would be nice to have a little dog I could take with me on ventures and travel with. I work part time and attend school. Just thought I would post and see if there is anyone who knows where I can find a small breed pup. Thanks :)
