Live In Household Help / P.I C. = peraon in charge State Licensed Private Boarding Home for retired veterans has an opening for one dedicated live in household assistant. Our residents are all ambulatory, self sufficient retired veterans, professionals and caring people. We need help with everyday household chores that you would normally do in your own home; like washing dishes, cooking, changing bed linens, vacuuming, cutting grass, changing a light bulbs, doing laundry, grocery shopping, answering the phone, polishing furniture, walking the dogs, taking out the trash, etc, etc, etc. We offer training, uniforms and 1099 paycheck. All applicants will need: * drivers license and a clean driving record * a clean back ground check * pass a drug screen * submit to drug screen whenever asked * be vaccinated; willing to take a booster if recommended by the CDC or Surgeon General * have had a negative TB test within past 12 months (and again every 12 months) * Jefferson County food handlers permit required. We are looking for the right candidate to be the P.I.C. (person in charge) in the owners absence and hopefully find this a comfortable home with our family. We work with the VAs Disabled Veterans and Challenged Adults. The ideal applicant must have a kind, empathic heart and be willing to work odd hours as needed. Jefferson County food handlers permit required. This position comes with a fully furnished private room, 3 meals a day and free laundry. We will value and respect your help with the huge task of the daily operations of an 18 bedroom, 8 bathroom home in The Highlands. We are 100% inclusive! All lights, gas, water, WiFi, cable, food with a 1099 salary. Salary compensation will be based on your training and experience; and will be discussed during our interview. We are walking distance to MidCity Mall, the Comedy Club, Fine Dining as well as McDonalds and other fast foods, Nail/Hair Saloons and Skyline Chili. We are 2 blocks from the Art Show, free concerts/dances each weekend in summer at Willow Park; blocks away from Cherokee Golf Club, fishing and Jefferson County Library. No drinking. No drugs. Smoking allowed in designated areas only. Zero tolerance.
