Position: Custodian Location: Cleveland, OH Hours: Mon - Fri, 7:00AM - 3:30PM Pay Grade: 13 Reports to: Operations Manager Job Level: Entry-level (non-supervisory); non-exempt Essential Functions and Duties Clean the interior of the building and facility including: offices in multiple buildings, production & packaging areas, hallways, foyer, lunchrooms, tasting room, locker room, warehouse, restrooms, etc. Sweep/Mop/Vacuum floors and stairwells Dust office furniture, blinds, lighting fixtures, and other surfaces Clean windows Clean and sanitize bathrooms and restock supplies using established practices & procedures Empty all waste receptacles and remove recycling to designated areas Clean and disinfect water fountains and water coolers Maintain outside property and entrances including trash & debris removal, sweep walkways, empty and clean cigarette receptacles, snow removal, etc. Perform light facility upkeep/maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, painting, etc. Maintain supplies and keep an updated inventory, submitting an order request as needed Keep cleaning equipment organized and operational Assist with set-up for meetings and events as needed, including table set-up with pre-determined layout, and general upkeep of facility prior to events Delivers orders to the gift shop Comply with safety and policy guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals Notify supervisor of any health or safety hazards Perform related duties as required Required Skills and Experience Education High School diploma or GED certificate Work Experience Minimum two years of related prior experience preferred Required Qualifications Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to take direction form supervisor A self-starter with the proven ability to work independently Must be detail oriented, professional, and possess good organization skills Must understand and follow simple instructions and to communicate job-related issues Proven ability to work in a team environment Must be able to read MSDS sheets and chemical labels in English and have an understanding of what types of chemicals and cleaners to use for each job Knowledgeable about various cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the above job duties, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and using ladders when required in work assignment Must be able to stand and exert mobility throughout shift Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop on a frequent basis Must have good balance and stamina and be able to climb stairs throughout a shift Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment Basic understanding of painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry trades We look forward to reviewing your application!
