I have never heard anyone argue that Trump is an honest person. We all know he is a liar. It has been proven time and time again. The big difference here is- Trump supporters are willing to accept Trump despite his lies and dishonesty. Anti Trumpers are not willing to accept the dishonesty. Anti Trumpers expect more out of our leader. Integrity matters.
It's like an NFL player who is a rapist. Fans are willing to overlook the players behavior because they want him on their team. Trump fans are no different. Trump fans are willing to overlook Trumps crimes and lies because they want him on their team. Immoral behavior is overlooked by fans for selfish gains.
