Processing - $14.50/HR START WORKING TODAY FOR $14.50 PER HOUR WITH INCREASES UP TO $2/HR WITHIN 60 DAYS! Located approximately 25 miles east of Salem in Lyons, Oregon has a position open in our firewood processing department. This position cuts and splits firewood with an automated firewood processor and transports the completed firewood baskets to the kiln staging area. The right candidate also has potential to load log decks and use saws to cut large logs. Ideal candidates will be safety conscious, dependable, hard-working, and able to excel in a team environment Physical Requirements: Fast paced working environment that is outside with seasonal temperature changes (we work regardless of the weather). Must be able to lift 60 – 80 lbs. on a frequent basis. Must have the ability to bend, twist, kneel, and squat repetitively and stand/walk on uneven surfaces for long periods of time. Qualifications & Required Experience: Must be 18 years old Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Safety awareness and positive attitude required – Safety Committee experience is a plus Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required Preferred Experience: Experience in a production, warehouse, or lumber/sawmill environment is a plus. Experience with Front-End Loaders, forklifts, log splitting, or light to heavy machinery is a plus. Three to six months of Skid Steer (Bobcat) experience preferred. Schedule: Day shift, Monday – Friday (must be flexible with Saturday during peak season). Hours of operations are from 6 AM – 2:30 PM, with occasional overtime.
