Now hiring experienced Maintenance Tech to work on and maintain horizontal form fill and seal equipment, shrink wrap tunnels, fork lift minor repairs, stretch wrapper, print registered bundle wrappers and heavy electrical work in the warehouse, along with building maintenance. Duties include: • Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, etc.) • Document records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs. • Select repair parts and update parts records. • Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, which may include welding, brazing, and soldering. Repairs are made to mechanical handling equipment, racking, floors, plumbing, piping, and to other warehouse structural components • Maintenance and repair of batteries and chargers. • Applies mechanical skills and knowledge to troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, fabrication, building construction, and other warehouse maintenance/repair situations. • Reads and interprets schematics, drawings, and other diagnostic aids in the scope of troubleshooting, repair, and fabrication work. • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. • Familiar with mechanical hand tools, and with measuring (tape measures, micrometers, drill gauges, etc.) • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area Requirements: • 5 + years minimum experience in maintaining packaging equipment • Knowledge of general office equipment • Proficient computer skills • Ability to use various PC software • Intermediate knowledge of the Internet • Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately • Ability to solve problems independently and within a team environment • Fluent in English, both written and verbal required • Displays organization and efficiency • Maintains strong attention to detail • Demonstrates proficient time management and multitasking skills • Ability to effectively present and/or communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. There is a lot of standing, bending and walking. Must provide valid ID's and be at least 18 years old and available to work the full scheduled shift. Must be punctual and have reliable transportation.
