Description
To the poster who responded again with insults, BLM is NOT CRT. My God. I was right, dumbing down.
SLAVERY IS US HISTORY. Black Lives Matter is NOT Critical Race Theory. Are you afraid of outcomes proving that blacks are treated poorly compared to whites, at jobs, stores, banks etc? Do you NOT want people to investigate and publish stories about discrimination based solely on the color of their skin? Will that make THE WHITE MAN look as bad as we all see every day? White Trash IS a thing. Are you not tolerant because YOU feel you are superior?? FREE SPEECH but only for whites? And before you go off, I'm white. I refuse to be gaslighted by mentalcases. Nobody is claiming all white people are racists. Some blacks are also racists.
Critical race theory is an academic concept that is more than 40 years old. The core idea is that race is a social construct, and that racism is not merely the product of individual bias or prejudice, but also something embedded in legal systems and policies.
Critical race theory is not a synonym for culturally relevant teaching, which emerged in the 1990s. This teaching approach seeks to affirm students’ ethnic and racial backgrounds and is intellectually rigorous. But it’s related in that one of its aims is to help students identify and critique the causes of social inequality in THEIR OWN LIVES.
Many educators support, to one degree or another, culturally relevant teaching and other strategies to make schools feel safe and supportive for Black students and other underserved populations.
Why are there far more blacks in prison for for longer sentences for committing the same exact crime as a white person? You won't answer because you don't know what you're talking about.
Conservative Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court John Roberts’ opinion famously concluded: “The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race.”
