Live Sound Technicians Needed for Musical Entertainment Company Seeking audio engineers/event techs in or near Seattle to join our tech team as A2. Positions are freelance with the potential to be booked on a semi-regular basis. Compensation is based on a flat day-rate with hourly overtime beyond 12 hours. Events consist of live band productions at weddings, corporate events, and private parties in city and resort areas of Washington including Seattle, Bellingham, Whidbey Island and Cle Elum. Responsibilities: - Assist the A1 with loading of equipment to and from venue from warehouse or delivery truck. - Assist the A1 with setup of audio equipment including stage gear, input patching, and lighting fixtures. - Act as monitor engineer for band throughout event performance. - Assist band and tech through event timeline by managing program elements and sound at separate locations. Basic qualifications: - Understanding of basic live audio equipment and signal flow. - Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to our current methods. - Flexible availability, particularly on Saturdays. - Reliability and punctuality is a must. - Strong communication skills to liaison between clients, planners, and performers as needed. - Attentive and proactive demeanor - your job will never be to "set it and forget it." Preferred applicants may have: - Experience working with wireless (WiFi/RF management, system control via tablet). - Experience in wedding industry. - Experience in live music and/or corporate audio.
