Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to supply general landscaping support for the entire site. This position is responsible for the entire 80+ acre sites landscaping needs as well as supporting the building maintenance technician with small projects. They will support all requests from the Facilities Supervisor in all aspects of the site's landscaping needs. The objective of this position is to ensure the grounds are kept in overall safe and working order. Decision Making: 1. Daily decisions must be made with Building Maintenance Tech on prioritizing workload giving special attention to anything that may be a safety concern. 2. Ability to logically deal with multiple job tasks and determine priority. Essential Function/Major Responsibilities 1. Work alone as well as with building maintenance technician to perform basic landscaping functions of the site. 2. Perform all mowing, trimming, edging of sites turf grass areas. 3. Remove all trash from general grounds as well as designated containers. 4. Maintain sites irrigation system for lawns and flower garden. 5. Minor preventative maintenance performed on facilities equipment for ex: John Deere tractor, Lawnmower, leaf blowers, weed eaters. 6. Work independently completing daily work lists while getting interrupted by other urgent requests. 7. Assist building maintenance technician in basic repairs of painting, carpentry, plumbing, and carpentry work inside and outside the facility. 8. Removal of snow and de-icing when required 9. Participates in and completes training as prescribed by corporate requirements and the immediate leadership. 10. Demonstrate effective housekeeping in the area of work and shop. 11. Oversee contractors on-site completing tasks such as Street Sweeping, Gutter Cleaning, Roof Repairs. 12. Utilize SAP to enter hours against WO’s 13. Work in a cleanroom environment assisting building maintenance technician performing basic tasks Position Requirements: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent 2. Preferred previous landscape experience 3. Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry up to 50lbs. 4. Ability to work in a team atmosphere. 5. Knowledge of safety/Environmental rules. 6. Familiar with OSHA regulations and ability to follow. 7. Requires a high level of verbal and written communication 8. Ability to read and interpret equipment manual and documents
