8 year old bay gelding, 17 hand, retired race horse. We are new to horse ownership and this horse was presented to us as a mellow trail horse that would be well rounded for a beginner and even kids. However, this was not the case and he needs a lot of groundwork and we are not experienced enough to handle him. He does not get along with my other gelding. We believe that he may have been given a sedative when we went to see him and rode him originally. This has been a terrible experience for my daughter and we are just unable to get the control over him. He needs a more experienced owner. We are selling him as a project horse only because we do not know him well enough and I can not let someone try to saddle him. PROJECT!!!!!!!!! We have had him for a few weeks and rather than someone inexperienced getting hurt or my other horse, he needs a more appropriate home. Please, experienced only, I can not transport, I do not have a trailer.
