This sweet 7 year old spayed Boxer mix needs a new home. She is housebroken and crate trained. Has been around farm animals such as horses, and was proofed around active gun fire. She is great with other loud noises too, such as fireworks or thunderstorms. She is highly trained with over fifty solid commands. She has been completely trained to obey in heavy distraction environments whether she is on or off leash. She is trained to walk loose leash and to heel on either the left or right side. She rides well in any form of vehicle. She would be best as the only pet, or with an experienced handler. She tests boundaries and she will take advantage of lax rules. She does have guarding issues over food and chews towards other animals, so she is fed separately. She has no vices towards people. She is a great guard dog and will alert when someone enters the home or property. She is also trained to light up (maintain a consistent bark) on cue for times you feel uncomfortable with someone approaching — such as in a vehicle alone, walking late at night, etc. She is medium energy with a great off switch. Great ball and food drive. She is easily satisfied with a few minutes of ball play or a short walk if you just don’t have the time. She will also happily go on longer excursions whether it’s jogging next to a bike or hiking several miles. She enjoys jumping in shallow rivers or lakes. She’s also content to just spend the day sleeping. She does not chew inappropriately and will always use provided toys. She is a hard chewer and needs tougher options such as raw meaty bones, antlers, extreme kongs, etc. She cannot have softer chews like rawhides, nylabones, etc. as she will eat them very quickly and it will cause a blockage. She is an awesome dog, but she sadly cannot stay with me as I am no longer in a position to provide for her. She is free to a good home, and I will also include a $100 gift card to Amazon or Chewy so you can buy necessary food, toys, crate, etc. for her. She will come with her vet records, bowls, some of her current food, collar, and leash.
