Dynamic company seeks an Assistant Dispatcher/Expeditor to embark on a successful career in our Raleigh, NC branch. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists Dispatch Manager in delivering heroic service and sales support to all customers Assists Dispatch Manager with routing local delivery drivers and vehicles (1 - 20 team members) Checks customer orders Loads and unloads trucks Operates a forklift Occasionally makes deliveries Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations associated with driving a motor vehicle and transporting commercial goods Communicates with Dispatch Manager and other branch personnel Other dispatching duties as needed REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma (or equivalent) College Degree or some years of college preferred Ability to lead a small team of people Detail Orientated Knowledge of computer fundamentals including Microsoft Office and inventory management software, spreadsheets, design plans/layouts SAP experience is a plus Must pass drug screen and background check Forklift certified/ certifiable Ability to lift over 50 lbs and assisted safe lifting of larger items Might be required to be on feet for a long period Knowledge of the greater Raleigh, NC area preferred * Standard Drug screen, Driving Record and Background Checks will be performed.
