General Summary of Position for CQC : Responsible for all Contractor Quality Control functions on FEDERAL construction projects. Responsible for development, submission and implementation of task order specific Quality Control Plans. Duties include: management of daily preventive and corrective quality control activities for the company and its subcontractors; conducting quality control meetings; coordination with and notification of Quality Assurance Evaluators of quality control activities; coordinating activities of Quality Control Inspectors, Quality Control Specialists, Manufacturer’s Representatives and Materials Testing Technicians; performance of the three phases of control established by the Quality Control Plan; performing submittal review and certification; maintaining the contractor’s submittal library; ensuring testing is performed; ensuring Safety Plan compliance; warranty administration; implementation and administration of the Customer Service Program for specific task orders; and, preparing quality control certifications and documentation required under the contract. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: • Read and understand specifications, reference codes and standards. • Review and interpret contract drawings. • Review provisions that have been made to provide required control inspection and testing. • Prepare QUALITY CONTROL PLAN for each project assigned. • Efficient management of project submittals. • Check to assure all materials and or equipment have been submitted and approved. • Control all communications and project documentation in order to preclude any delays or deficiencies. • Communicate with Contracting office with a positive and solutions-oriented manner. • Be on top of all daily work activities, ensure all testing is done accordingly and documented correctly. • Be consistent with all required inspections, have a proactive rather than reactive approach to all aspects of quality control. • Have a partnering attitude in resolving all situations, respond promptly to customer needs, and always place the clients interest at the forefront of all conflicts. Qualifications: • Active US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors certificate. ALL CERTS MUST BE CURRENT. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills. • Skillful communicator in both verbal and in written communication. • Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check
