This message is from Pink Paw Rescue Society. We see so many mixed breed dogs stating AKC registered. Please check the TYPE of registration. Mixed breeds are only registered in some cases but not a full purebred registration. Also, please be aware a 'rehoming' fee is meant to weed out those that might not give a great home to a pet. How much makes it a 'rehoming ' fee and a sale? Our opinion is getting an animal from an ad should not before than $150 to $200 tops,and should include any vet records. If you are paying $500 for say a goldendoodle, #1 they are NOT akc registered; #2 they were bred by someone just wanting to make as much money as possible with little to no regard for bad traits that are genetic. This is why your bundle of joy may have neurological issues, a funky looking mouth, or because certain colors were bred he may be blind or deaf or have other more serious conditions.These issues can end up costing hundreds to thousands in vet bills. And when no one can or wants to pay vet, they end up in shelters or just abandoned. There are so many dogs,cats, guinea pigs,snakes, birds,etc looking for homes already. Please adopt from your local shelter instead of a backyard breeder. There are often purebred there as well! And you will be saving an animal from being caged or even euthanized, just because some one longer wanted them. I know I will get some unwelcome messages, but please keep them polite. The pics are my pack, red and white Staffie, With her is my Great Dane, and last pic is Moosey, mastiff (deceased). All obtained from a shelter or an ad in online that was less than $250 between the 3. All were previously abused, but came to me full trained in basic commands, well some needed a refresher course!
