I am so sorry to tell you this. I was headed to a meeting this morning (July 20th 6:30am) and saw your cat on the road. I stopped and turned around. I held space for it and removed it so it would not get hit again. You don’t need to remember your cat that way. I thought about you all day. I’ve cried a lot. I think it is better to imagine it went missing rather than see it like that. I hope I made the right decision and saved you some pain. I wondered what their name was or if it belonged to a family with children. I am sorry for your loss. There’s a special place in my heart for your dear friend. I am sending you all the love. I hope this brings closure and that you won’t be wondering when your cat will come home. Maybe it’s better to wonder. Maybe writing this is the wrong this to do. I think I’d want to know if a compassionate stranger did this for me though. I am so sorry.
