Description
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for the diagnosis, removal, repair and replacement of various parts on motorcoaches and support vehicles.
Primary Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical problems using charts, technical manuals and previous experience
Perform both major and minor repairs related to diesel engines and transmissions
Diagnose, remove, repair and replace electrical and suspension components
Remove and replace parts such as fluids, gauges, wheel bearings and seals, tires, door assemblies, lights, valves, water pumps, and hoses
Ability to disassemble, repair and replace body accessories
Perform routine preventative maintenance including Annual Inspections
Ability to accurately complete work orders showing time and parts used
Ability to travel out of town for training
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of diesel automotive, coach or truck technical experience required
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) required within 90 days of employment
EPA Air Conditioning Certification preferred
Must be able to furnish own small hand tools including tools at and below a ½" drive level
Available to work flexible shifts as business demands including weekends/holidays
Previous experience on motorcoaches preferred.
