ob description Independent Sub-Contractor We are a locally owned business. J&B Specialty Trades LLC is a growing company. We do have a specialty in every aspect of construction and will be doing many different trades in the construction field. The qualified candidate(s) will be working directly with owner of company. J&B is currently working with multiple contractors that specialize in pre-fabricated sheds and garages, patio enclosures, decks, kitchen and bath remodels, as well as maintenance person services. J&B is looking for someone who has an extensive background in all aspects of construction and is willing to learn new things. This position will have two main categories to be working in. We have large accounts with a cabinet company installing cabinets. There will be everything from large kitchens to small bathroom vanity installs. Must have Requirements: Valid Drivers License Able to pass a background check Reliable transportation (Preferably a van or pickup truck) Required to have your own tools Required to have your own General Liability Insurance. Must carry a 1mil/2mil policy Reliable and self motivated to work on his/her own In addition to you will be installing safety tubs with a contractor. There will be a training process to learn the procedures of the tubs and showers. There will be extensive requirements that are required on these jobs and will need to followed with high focus on quality. Must have at least 3 years of general construction experience, with references. There is a large opportunity for advancement quickly with the company. Carpenter Job description Responsibilities: installing cabinets, minor carpentry work, showing up on time, tracking work hours/job expenses, superb customer service, good hygiene, personal accountability. Must have understanding of adaptability as job dates and plans might change due to unforeseen issues or customer request. Experience: Highly recommended to have 3-5 yrs experience in cabinet installs, remodels, and basic construction working with a team or alone with self accountability. Must have the skills necessary to problem solve, overcome small changes and problems that might arise, think through challenges that were unplanned, and work long side or with others including customers. Requirements: Able to work as subcontractor. Must have a reliable vehicle that has the ability to haul tools and some small pieces of materials whether it be by the vehicle itself or the ability to pull a trailer. Must have own carpentry tools. Must be able to work independently and/or with a team. Must be willing to work with customers and contractors with the ability to grow and accept feedback and get the job done as planned. General Liability insurance will be required before work can be done Must be able to pass back ground check. Pay will be per box installed on Jobs. $50 per box installed. If any problems arise as a contractor you and your crew will be liable to fix any problems. Contractors will be liable to finish any punch list items on the jobs. Will awnser directly to J&B owner with any problems and or concerns. 3 references required as well as resume. References will be contacted.
