Hello Everyone! Why Can't We Be Friends is a webinar hosted by a joint venture between GTX Connect and Dell Medicals Community Driven Initiatives! We started conversational topics at the beginning of the pandemic and have included such topics as Ask A Black Dude Immigration Nation The Indigenous Experience Antisemitism Asian Discrimination and this month we are going to feature Transexual discrimination. We are looking for 4 people from the Central Texas area who identify as Transgendered or Transexual to join a conversation about discrimination they face just being who they are. I want to stress that this is a safe environment to have a "casual conversation" about a very serious topic. All of the people who have participated in panels in the past have really enjoyed the experience. We are trying to bring awareness and understanding of marginalized peoples. The panel will be held next Wednesday July 28th. The panelists would sign in early at about 6:30 and then the panel will begin at 7 and generally goes about an hour. If you are interested we do provide people with a 100.00 honorarium for their time. Please respond to this email and when the panel is full I will remove the posting. Here is some additional information for interested parties. Feel free to register as a guest at the provided link. Registering from this link does not make you a panelist, it allows you to attend the event. All interested parties will still need to respond to this email and connect with me.
