Green Thumb is hosting an open interview day on Wednesday, July 21st from 3:00 - 6:00pm ET at the Queen Anne's County Library located at 121 S Commerce St, Centreville, MD 21617. Hiring for Administrative Coordinator, Production Technician, Cultivation Technician, and Warehouse Technician roles! We look forward to meeting you! -- The Role A Production Technician at Green Thumb participates in the seed-to-sale manufacturing life cycle of our cannabis products. This involves responsibility for various processes associated with cannabis production. We hire Production Technicians for departments such as cultivation, lab & extraction, packaging, and order fulfillment/warehousing, but our Production Technicians are often cross trained to become experts in several departments. Depending on the size of the team, a Production Technician may even be involved in all aspects of manufacturing the product from seed-to-sale! Our ideal candidates for this role are individuals who are driven, interested in learning about cannabis production, and have relevant experience to leverage as they become subject matter experts in our seed-to-sale process! Responsibilities Cultivation • Participate in potting, trimming/deleafing, fertilizing, and watering cannabis plants • Manage and track cultivation waste • Aid in inspecting plants to determine health • Maintain proper plant counts, tracking information for inventory • Follow detailed plan and timeline for plant production from clone to harvest Lab & Extraction • Prepare laboratory equipment and cannabis plant materials for extraction • Operate intricate extraction equipment in accordance with Green Thumb SOPs • Process cannabis concentrates and extracts • Clean and maintain extraction equipment and laboratory facility • Store supplies and equipment, dispose of waste according to guidelines, and keep laboratory working areas sanitary and safe • Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware Packaging • Package infused and plant material into proper containers with proper labeling to ensure compliance with state regulations • Breakdown cured batches and extracted oil from the lab into multiple different weight increments (3.5 g, 7 g, ½ g and 1 g etc.) and package them accordingly • Keep a precise count of all packaged product and weight(s) of product used for an accurate end of day reconciliation of packaged inventory and remaining inventory • Electronically convert packaged products in the state traceability system Order Fulfillment/Warehousing • Working with off-site sales partners to receive sales orders • Pulling sales orders and preparing them for delivery; labeling in accordance with DoA rules and regulations • Creating and managing excel spreadsheets • Tracking product through state traceability program • Receive, inspect, unload, store, and deliver internally all materials/products • Keep accurate records of receipts and shipments • Pull supplies from inventory and prepare them for production • Fill orders for supplies and equipment as approved • Maintain weekly inventory reconciliation Qualifications • High school diploma required • 1-2+ years of relevant experience aligned with one of our manufacturing departments (cultivation, lab & extraction, packaging, order fulfillment/warehousing) • Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment highly desirable • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment • Possesses a high level of critical thinking • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb • Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws. Working Conditions • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, reaching, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, walking, seeing and repetitive motions • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds unassisted (and up to 300 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products. Additional Requirements • Must pass any and all required background checks • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry • Must possess valid driver’s license • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
