Apply here: Learn about the commercial construction industry from the ground up! Our Field Technicians oversee placement and testing of materials (concrete, soils, asphalt, masonry) on active construction sites and prepare field reports to document site observations. Learn to read and interpret construction plans to ensure placement of soils and concrete meets project specifications for proposed buildings, pavement, and utility improvements. As an entry level Field Technician, you will receive training and certifications to perform testing and inspections for construction projects located in Northern Virginia. Learn and grow! WDP pays for certifications. Starting pay for an entry level technician without certifications/experience is $15/hr. Overtime is compensated at 1.5 times regular rate. Our Technicians receive wage increases for each certification received after hire. We do not require previous experience working on construction sites nor previous certifications from WACEL or VDOT, however, experienced technicians are also encouraged to apply and will be compensated commensurate with experience.
