We Share Hope is focused on helping those in need, facing food insecurity with what we are given. The Pantry Pickup volunteer opportunity makes it easy for Rhode Islanders to donate unopened, nonperishable food products so that We Share Hope can help those who are facing the crisis of food insecurity in Rhode Island. We Share Hope's Pantry Pickup volunteer opportunity will have volunteers traveling a route provided by We Share Hope to pick up pantry donation items in the community and bring them to the WSH warehouse. Volunteers will be assigned a town (of their choosing) and a route each week and must be able to commit to the same day and 4-5 (max) hour timespan each week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 and 3. Must have reliable transportation, must be able to commit to the same day and 4-5 (max) hour timespan each week (Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 and 3), must be able to lift up to 25 pounds multiple times a day. Volunteers will be reimbursed for gas based on mileage of route. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
