POSITION SUMMARY The Fireplace Installer assists in all aspects of fireplace installations. This position provides for the installation/service of our products with a primary goal of complete customer satisfaction in an efficient manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Assist in all aspects of fireplace installations and inventory control on all fireplaces and related components. • Loading, unloading, cleaning, and maintenance of the installation truck. This includes maintenance of tools and equipment, putting away unused parts, as well as cleaning and maintenance of the truck. • Organize and maintain all fireplace venting components. Watch for new deliveries and be sure to put items away promptly. • Timely completion of necessary paperwork. • Assist yard man with any duties as needed. Always wear a radio when working in the yard. • Clean and maintain hearth products in showroom (i.e. dusting/cleaning glass on all display units, organize/replenish literature, etc.). • Deliver product as necessary in a timely and professional manner. • Perform related duties as assigned. • Fireplace sales assistance when needed. • Follow company policies and procedures. • Follow safety protocol. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to complete simple hearth product installation, test burn, and attachment of trim/components without supervision. • Must be honest, responsible, and possess the ability to work unsupervised. • Ability to lift at least 200 pounds safely. • Willingness to learn proper techniques for use and installation of all products sold. • Ability to communicate effectively. EDUCATION High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) EXPERIENCE Six months to one year related experience desired SKILLS & ABILITIES Computer Skills Basic computer skills Basic knowledge and use of hand tools, ladders, dollies, etc. Other Requirements Fireplace, landscape and/or construction knowledge or experience Must possess a valid driver’s license; CDL a plus but not necessary Ability to work on steep roofs, tall ladders, and high locations Work on Saturdays as required
