Grateful Dead Cover Band/Jam Situation Forming

Washington DC

Description

Good morning, I figured I would give this a shot and see if this works connecting with some other musicians like myself. Please feel free to reach out if any of this resonates and are interested to discuss further. I am in my upper 30's I have a career and intense day job but want to start playing out again in the NVA/DC or MD area. I would love to start as a Dead Cover Band or Southern Rock/Classic Rock to focus on getting some eventual gigs. I'm very easy to work with, good vibes and easy going. I know how to listen to other musicians. I want this to start out as fun without intense pressure. I do prefer to play with musicians or people like me that were semi pro for a while; and now have other careers they are focused on that just miss playing. I used to play out gigs all the time back in the day; but now I am playing more with people from work and would like something more to get back into playing more. I used to play a few gigs a week but I am looking to form a band or jam situation with others who have serious careers as well. I would be interested in gigging once or twice a week. I would be interested to connect with others as well that are just really into the Dead that play and want to jam. I play guitar (lead/rhythm whatever) and sing. I played the Jerry lead guitar role in a couple bands back in the day and love the late 60's early 70s (Pigpen era) Dead. I am a bit more on the bluesy edge. I'm very open minded. Mainly looking for someone that plays: Keyboard Bass Drums Rhythm Guitar/Another Guitar Please feel free to respond and say hello if interested or if vibe with any of above. We'll throw out some Dead tunes or whatever to jam on and then we can set something up.
