Description
I see you…
Grasping at dirt to find some way to control your life as it spirals out.
Handfuls you grab, still looking up noticing not the dirt filling in the areas around your feet and legs.
She reaches her hand down but all you see is an enemy…
Why wouldn't she give both hands?
This must be a trick.
You won't fall for it.
Now her tears turn the dirt to mud.
She must be crying so she can drown you also.
She begs for your hand, trembling.
You got this, you'll do it on your own but the mud is near your waste now.
If only she had given you all you asked for and not cried…
Damn her tears…
Damn her.
Above you her reach is spread thin and grasping tightly in the other hand is the life she created with you.
She'd let go if they had chose to be here.
She'd let you drag her down with you, even use her to climb out.
But you don't see them.
You see through, right through her, So much so you miss her substance.
With a broken heart She watches you sink. With uncontrollable tears she questions what she could have done better, more.. and with a weak heart and body She struggles to keep them lifted, without you.
All the while you go down angry, bitter but right when you're neck deep you realize...
She wanted peace too. "There is NO peace without negotiation" and your inability to negotiate damaged not only your ability but the ability of those that were attached to you too ever find true peace.
