The prospective employer is a Philadelphia-based, Development and Construction Management organization that offers a team of construction professionals, working closely with our trade partners, to deliver quality contemporary new construction residential and commercial properties in the greater Center City area. Employee Roles and Responsibilities: -Coordinate and oversee completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle for residential and light commercial projects -Manage the project planning and construction effort -Manage and evaluate sub-contractor performance -Evaluate, determine disposition and manage change requests -Provide official project status documentation and reports -Prepare and distribute project communications, reports and directives with project stakeholders -Conduct technical reviews and evaluate project solicitations, proposals, quotes and proposed change requests -Manage shop drawings and submittal review and approval process -Conduct and document project meetings -Cost and schedule management for the overall project Employee Qualifications Position Specific Requirements: -Self-starter with strong work ethic -Outstanding customer service skills -Excellent written, oral communication skills, ability to communicate well at all organizational levels -Exceptional at coordination of activities with building planning, design and construction Basic Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in architecture, engineering, construction management or other technical and/or related field -Minimum of 5 years of experience -Experience in residential or commercial construction projects -Experience managing projects -Ability to handle multiple, demanding and complex projects in a timely manner with accurate results -Ability to work independently and as a team player -Thorough understanding and commitment to sound project management techniques -Strong general computer skills and experienced with project management or web-based programs
